Another away day we like to do is to play golf at Silvermere golf course. We’ve done two golf days there so far, both in the early Summer months. What makes it even more enjoyable is that we always seem to get lucky with the weather!

Between us all, there are definitely varying levels of golfing talent, so we tend to split ourselves off into groups of ability. This just makes it easier to get round the course (in one piece). Once split, we set off in our teams of four.
One of our favourite golfing moments was when one of our team members hit an electric wire high in the sky, after his shot didn’t quite go to plan! Nonetheless, we had a great laugh about it and to our surprise, at the end of the game we realised we’d all improved our skills. I think this is mainly due to everyone helping each other as a team and sharing tips.
After golf, our Managing Director always secures the best seats in the house, right next to the lake so that we can enjoy a well-deserved dinner to round off the day. It’s a nice way to relax after a hard day at the golf course!
“One of my memories is of one of our sales team members being told off for ‘speeding’ in his golf cart by one of the gold club committee members. Great fun. I was in the golf cart with him when it happened (he was driving) … hilarious!”
