It has been announced we are the winners of the ‘Best Development of an Existing Conference’ category in the prestigious Conference Awards. The award has been allocated to the Employee Engagement Summit after 2019 saw a complete overhaul of the event which resulted in a 150% increase in delegate numbers, 50% more content, a 95% delegate satisfaction score and 50% more sponsors. The transformation of the Employment Engagement Summit is testament to our team and our development approach. Not only did we listen to our stakeholders, we delivered to them a conference that met their needs.
We’re so delighted with this recognition in one of the 2020 Conference Award’s most heavily-entered categories. The esteemed judging panel commented the following:
”Impressive growth and ambitious transformation.”
“Overhauling conferences takes courage and it looks like it paid off. Doubling results is a great achievement and the targets they set out are impressive. Investment in website and marketing but also a new proposition, making it easier to deliver a great delegate experience.”
“Clearly Engage Business Media are not afraid to set themselves challenging targets which they not only met but exceeded, resulting in an extraordinary transformation. Congratulations!”
After the announcement of the victory, Nick Rust, Managing Director at Engage Business Media said “I am so delighted with this recognition for our team after they’ve worked so hard on transforming the Employee Engagement Summit. 2020 has been very unexpected for the entire planet and, like most businesses, we too have had to drastically transform from the traditional way of how we used to deliver events in the much-loved London based venues where could all very naturally network. I am so proud of my team, more now than ever, as they have all worked harder than ever, stepped up to the plate of having to quickly learn new ways of doing things and are stepping outside of their comfort zones most days. This is truly such amazing recognition for the whole team, and we are all so happy. I’d also like to thank our speakers, sponsors, delegates and suppliers for making this award-win possible.”
To follow on from Nick’s comments, Katie Donaldson, Marketing Manager at Engage Business Media said “Every member of the entire team has put so much into the transformation of the Employee Engagement Summit from its launch year onwards. We have achieved a phenomenal amount and we have worked so hard on making the conference a success. We can’t thank everyone enough who made this possible and so I’d like to echo Nick in thanking our sponsors, speakers, delegates and suppliers. It’s been a tough year for the events industry and so this recognition for the team means so much. We’re so proud and look forward to continuing to deliver award-winning events!”
The 2020 Employee Engagement Summit took place last month in a new virtual format which was broadcast from our very own TV studio. We’re receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback on our unique, innovative approach to virtual events that both look fantastic and provide great networking opportunties for us to stay connected as an industry. If you missed the event, the on-demand event is now available to view – you can order your on-demand license by clicking here. You can check out our TV studio here and witness an exclusive interview we held with Facebook. The 2021 Employee Engagement Summit is already confirmed to take place from 11th-13th May in this same virtual format, and we hope to have you involved.
For now, we’re off to raise a virtual ‘cheers’ with the team until we can do so safely in person.
