Published: 1st September 2021

How we’re keeping you safe
Rest assured you’re in safe hands, we’ve increased hygiene measures and put additional processes in place to ensure that your experience at the 2021 Engage Awards is as safe and successful as it can be. We look forward to welcoming you back to London and seeing you in person.

Prior to the Awards
Please arrange your testing in advance .

In line with latest government guidelines* and conversations  we have had with our guests, employees and partners, all guests MUST demonstrate proof of COVID-19 status on arrival at the event.

You will not be admitted if you can’t show one of the following:

  • A negative lateral flow result
  • A negative PCR test result

Please note: there will be lateral flow test kits available if required. These do require 30 minutes to confirm the result and there is a cost involved to purchase a test kit.

The negative lateral flow test must be reported to the NHS website or app and the result shown via the NHS app, SMS text or email. We recommend that you bring additional tests with you when you travel.

Stay home if you are unwell
If you are suffering from any fever or other covid symptoms before the event, then please make sure you stay at home and follow the current government guidance.

Arrival
Give yourself plenty of time to travel, you will be notified prior to the event date regarding a staggered start, this is to avoid any ques or large groups congregating in the hotel reception.

Please make sure you have your QR code ready when you arrive to the venue – physical tickets are not required but you will be requested to show ID at registration to access the event.

During the event
Your safety is of utmost importance to us, so during the event we ask that you follow the requirements in order to collaboratively do what you can to help minimise any risk.

There won’t be a dancefloor this year, guests are encouraged to remain seated during the event and to avoid where possible interacting with tables.

To be aware of other guests and personal space, a coloured wrist band will be available to enable those who wish to communicate to others how comfortable they are with interaction with others in response to COVID-19 lifted restrictions.

Face Masks
We do encourage you to wear face masks, but as per government advice these are no longer compulsory. However we ask you to wear a mask when in high density areas, in close proximity to others or whilst queuing.

Hygiene
Hand sanitisers will be readily available throughout the venue. We encourage you to also bring your own sanitiser to apply when you enter and leave the premises. Please continue to follow guidance and wash your hands frequently.

Physical Distancing
Due to the lifted restrictions, there will be normal seating within the ballroom with tables of 10 and drinks reception, however we will be providing additional space between tables and socially distanced areas for those who would be more comfortable with some additional space. We encourage you to please maintain a safe distance from other guests throughout the event.

Ventilation
To keep a fresh air circulation moving during the event, there will be an increase in ventilation provided by the hotel in line with government guidance.

Cleaning
We will uphold the highest standards of cleaning throughout the event and ask that you contribute to this by being mindful of what you dispose of and where.

Food and beverage
Catering facilities will be provided onsite by the Park Plaza Hotel group and carried out as per current government guidelines. Any dietary requirements will be requested and recorded prior to the event.

Only cashless payments will be available.

*(Event health and safety precautionary guidelines are subject to change as directed by the local authorities.)

CV-19 Event Update Statement

Published: 1st July 2020

At Engage Business Media our colleagues, customers and communities are at the heart of everything we do.

Therefore, and as a result of the rapidly evolving Covid-19 situation, and with the attendant recommendations of the WHO and the Government, we are taking a number of important actions that prioritise those concerns.

As the situation has continued to evolve, we are continually listening to the concerns of all our stakeholders. The wellbeing of our event delegates, speakers, sponsors, partners, and staff is of course of the utmost importance.

We have therefore made the very difficult decision to reschedule some of our Conferences and Annual Awards whilst also pivoting them to new exciting ‘Studio Style’ Virtual events for 2020. Rest assured these moves are designed to ensure our leading-edge, world-class business events will be bigger and better than ever.

We have significantly invested in the business employing what we feel is a ‘best in class’ Virtual first event platform and streaming service, as well as a purpose built Engage Business Media studio and leading edge virtual networking and datapoint driven delegate insight tools, all we feel ensures we continue to provide hugely engaging interactive conferences and industry leading experiences for all those involved.

Our revised 2020 Virtual events calendar include:

  • Internal Communications Conference (September 17 & 18)
  • Customer Engagement Transformation Conference (September 24 & 25)
  • CX Marketing Summit (October 8 & 9)
  • Employee Engagement Summit (November 4, 5 & 6)
  • Customer Engagement Summit (December 1, 2 & 3)
  • 2020 Engage Awards (December 3)

You do not need to do anything regarding the change of dates, as we will be in touch in due course.

We are working with our sponsors, partners, and stakeholders to compile important and useful information to help everybody through this tough time.

While this has not been an easy decision, we feel it is the right one in the current environment. Our Live Events are at the core of our business and we deeply value the support of all those involved with them over the last decade.

As we start to look forward to 2021, we will decide which format is appropriate at that time.

Check our websites regularly and follow us on social media for updates. I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of all at EBM to thank you for your committed and continued support and look forward to welcoming you at our next live event.

In the meantime, we encourage you to register for and attend one of our upcoming exciting webinars and virtual live events from the comfort of your desk, whether that be in the office or at home.

Warmest regards,

Nicholas Rust – Managing Director
